Study on dust removing effect of air-water spraying nozzle at transfer point of belt conveyer

In order to solve the problem of serious dust pollution at the transfer point of coal mine, a test platform was built to simulate the whole process of dust generation and migration at the transfer point, and the dust distribution law in the transfer area was studied. Based on the test results and theoretical calculation, the appropriate type of aerosol nozzle was selected, and the optimal gas supply pressure, water supply pressure, water supply flow and nozzle layout position were determined by a series of experiments. The results show that the dust generated in the transfer area is mainly composed of respirable dust, and the dust reduction effect is best when the adjustable wide angle nozzle with diameter of 1.5 mm is used, the water pressure is 0.55 MPa, the air pressure is 0.6 MPa, the water supply flow is 0.25 L/min, and the nozzle installation position is 0.85 m above the dust source. According to the experimental parameters, the air water spray dust suppression system is designed and field test is carried out at the transfer point of the fully mechanized coal face, the dust removal efficiency can reach more than 90%.
