A continuidade descontínua de duas revistas centenárias
Abstract
European modernism began with small magazines, often with limited circulation. Additionally, the early 20th century was a period of significant political turbulence marked by the rapid emergence of radical nationalisms. Portugal was no exception to this trend. The main aim of this article is to examine the sociocultural context of the time, supporting the thesis that both Orpheu and Athena were magazines that, despite their seemingly out-of-sync nature, shared a form of discontinuous continuity.
