Abstract

The theory presented in this article is a unique blending of care and culture. This theory considers every culture's way of caring essential for studying and practicing nursing. From that point of view, Leininger opens a new area to the Nursing profession as the classic theoretical and practical goals are considerably modified. The Theory of Cultural Care Diversity and Universality and its research reveal a humanism formed by the study of care and caring observed in different cultures of the world. This theory initiates the paradigm of human care accompannied with the ethnonursing method who allows unknown nursing dimensions to be cautiously investigated, particularly from the people's view point.
