Pixel Decimation in Block Matching Techniques

Abstract

Block motion estimation using full search algorithm is computationallyextensive. Previously proposed fast algorithms reduce the computationcost by limiting the number of locations searched. In this paper wepresent algorithms for block motion estimation that produce similarperformance to that full search algorithm. The algorithms are based onthe pixel decimation.
