METHODOLOGICAL RESEARCH REFERENCES OF INTERNATIONAL SYSTEMS: ACTOR – STRUCTURE REPORT
Abstract
International relations science is by nature a metadome, it is included in the context of the postneclassic approach of interdisciplinarity, pluridisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity in the sense that the development of the paradigms of post-classical science is characterized by increasing the share of interdisciplinary investigation forms and the realization of complex research programs with the participation of the scientists only socio-human, but also real, broadening the sphere of comprehension of processes and tendencies in the globalized world. The methodology based on the „actor-structure” binom is proving to be able to ensure the knowledge, explanation and understanding of the highly complex processes related to the building of the cold post-war world order model and the post-bipolar international system: the structure constrains and limits the activity of the actors and the actors, in their turn, they are system makers, modeling the structure. Both the structure and the actors determine the formation and modification of a certain type of international system, including post-war cold war: structural changes condition transformations in the behavior and relations between the actors, and at the level of the major powers and according to the available potential, marks the structure of the system horizontally , while vertically, this is expressed by the dominance ratios of the „center” on the „periphery”.
