Ormianie Mohylowa Podolskiego w świetle materiałów V rewizji 1795 roku
Abstract
Armenians from Mohylów Podolski in the Light of the Documents from the Fifth Revision of 1795 The article contains an edit and analysis of two documents that describe the Armenian community in Mohylów Podolski (Mohyliv-Podilskyi) on the Dniester after the Third Partition of Poland. They were created following the 1795 census of the population of Russia which was used to levy a poll tax (the so-called fifth revision). The documents contain a list of Armenian families and data on their social and professional status, age and territorial origin. They constitute an important source of information for genealogical, demographic, and historical research.
