Preparation and Application of Two-Dimensional Noble Metal Nanoparticle Ordered Arrays
Abstract
Besides the surface plasmon resonance characteristic of noble metal nanoparticles, the two-dimensional(2 D)noble metal nanoparticle ordered arrays can generate new or enhanced optical properties with good stability and reproducibility due to their highly ordered array structures on a large scale, which has drawn wide academic attention. This study introduces the main preparation methods of 2 D noble metal ordered nanoparticle array, including template method and self-assembly method. Compared with traditional photolithography, the template method and self-assembly method can not only obtain high-quality 2 D noble nanoparticle arrays, but also have lower economic cost. Additionally, the applications of the 2 D noble metal nanoparticle arrays in the fields of optical sensors, catalysis and others are summarized. However, the morphology of the 2 D noble metal nanoparticle arrays is comparatively simple, and more studies are expected to explore their properties.
