Preservació digital distribuïda : lliçons d'experiències internacionals

Abstract

Objectius: l'objectiu d'aquest estudi és oferir una panoràmica general dels sistemes d'organització de les xarxes de preservació digital distribuïda. -- Metodologia: específicament, l'article s'inicia abordant de manera exploratòria els models de referència teòrica i tècnica de xarxes d'arxius digitals amb fins de preservació digital distribuïda a llarg termini. A continuació, s'analitzen tres casos internacionals en què se n'explora l'organització interna dels membres i com això repercuteix en el servei ofert. S'acaba amb un estudi comparatiu (FODA) dels tres sistemes. -- Resultats: els sistemes de preservació digital distribuïda, més enllà dels components tècnics, són organitzacions basades en la cooperació, els membres de les quals han de complir una sèrie de requisits previs. Objectives: This study offers an overview of the systems used to organize distributed digital preservation networks. -- Methodology: The article starts by examining the theoretical and technical reference models offered by digital archive networks dedicated to long-term distributed digital preservation. It then analyzes the internal organization of the member institutions of three international networks and considers how their system of organization affects the service offered. It concludes with a feature-oriented domain analysis of the three systems. -- Results: While the technology they use may vary, the distributed digital preservation networks studied share a common commitment to collaborative practices and their member institutions need to meet certain prior requirements.
