Among the five elements, fire is one of the most powerful. Kannaki set Madurai on fire. The chastity of a woman can be compared to the highlights of fire. The five elements are very supportive tohuman beings and at the same time instrumental in their destruction. The sky, the earth, the air, the water, and the fire are all part of the senses, the eyes, the nose, and the ears. It is an impossible process for human beings to lead a life without perception and extroversion. In Tamil ‘Teen Suvai’ means ‘good taste. On the contrary, ‘Teeyitu Kozhuthudal’ means ‘put fire to’. Fire should burn where it should be needed. Rainwater should sprinkle where it is needed. From Kannaki Kovalan's wedding, fire burns until Kannaki burns Mamadurai. Madhavi and Kannaki show their anger in some circumstances they encounter injustice. It is also compared to fire by the writer Elango Adigal. Fire plays an important role in the epic.
