Thermal and species concentration of MHD Casson fluid at a vertical sheet in the presence variable fluid properties
Abstract
The combined effects of thermal and species concentration on the flow, heat and mass transfer of a non-Newtonian Casson fluid at a vertical permeable stretching sheet under the influence of transverse magnetic field with variable fluid properties are investigated. The fluid properties are assumed to be the function of temperature and species concentration. The governing nonlinear PDEs are transformed into a set of highly non-linear coupled ODEs using a suitable similarity transformation. The resulting system is then solved via OHAM for various physical parameters and the results are analyzed graphically. OHAM provides the control and adjustment of the convergence region, its solutions agrees well with the exact ones for large values of the independent variable. The accuracy of the analytical solution is verified by plotting the residual errors and comparing with available results in the literature for some special cases and is found to be in excellent agreement.
