Alésia, une fouille médiatique
Abstract
During the first half of the 20th century Alesia was a prestigious archaeological site. Through the financing of the excavations, provided by private subscriptions and subsidies from the ministry, thanks to extensive media coverage, difficult conciliation becomes apparent between the scientific issues backed by the excavation director Espérandieu and the heritage issues defended by the Society of Sciences of Semur aiming at valorising a prestigious heritage.
