Background. Modern reforms in education increasingly affect the issues of health preservation of teachers and students. Health-preserving culture is an integral part of the professional training of primary school teachers and the key to their successful teaching activities. The formed health-preserving culture of future primary school teachers will contribute to the preservation and strengthening of health, both teachers and their students. The authors identified the structural components of health-preserving culture, contributing to its formation in future primary school teachers, and also established the criteria, indicators and levels of formation of health-preserving culture, allowing to diagnose the level of formation of health-preserving culture in future primary school teachers. Purpose – to reveal the content of the concept of "health-preserving culture of primary school teachers", to identify and theoretically substantiate the structural components, criteria, indicators and levels of formation of the health-preserving culture of future primary school teachers. Materials and methods. The research materials were obtained in the process of studying and analyzing scientific publications, pedagogical and methodological literature devoted to health-preservation issues. In preparing the article, a descriptive method was used, using elements of systematization, allowing to generalize and systematize the data of theoretical research, to define "health-preserving culture of primary school teachers", to identify its components, criteria, indicators and levels of formation. Results. The main approaches to defining the concept of "health-preserving culture" are established: pedagogical, activity-based, sociological. The identification of the concepts of "health-preserving culture" and "health culture" is revealed. The health-preserving culture of a primary school teacher is defined as a value attitude of a teacher to his or her health and the health of students, as well as pedagogical activity aimed at preserving and increasing health. The structural components of the health-preserving culture of future primary school teachers are identified - motivational-value, cognitive, activity-based and reflexive, which represent the basis for the formation of the health-preserving culture of future primary school teachers. A table of compliance of criteria, indicators and levels of formation of the structural components of the health-preserving culture of future primary school teachers is developed.
