In the north-west of Romania, the climate is moderate continental, with differences depending on the terrain, the area being characterised by the existence of variations in altitude, between 800 and 1500 meters within an area of maximum 100 km, which causes the appearance of floors climate. This strong fragmentation of the landscape has led to the formation of local climates.
