INNOVATIVE GLASS-BASALT PLASTICS CONTAINERS FOR PACKAGING, STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION OF AMMUNITION

It is shown that the military packaging – It is very specialized kind of protective packaging, where all the elements – that most serve to identify products and their control – defined by authorities and to the smallest details are documented. Described that the state ammunition storage arsenals of the Armed Forces of Ukraine requires immediate addressing the commercialization of container with increased resource exploitation instead of wooden packaging and re arsenals of the Ministry of Defence. The importance of the problem of time especially well-known events in Novo-Bogdanovka and other ammunition depots is confirmed. According to current estimates, the demand for container for storing and transporting ammunition in Ukraine is about 3.7 million units. Packaging made from basalt glass composite fiber materials for ammunition is an important element retrofitting existing arsenals of the Ministry of Defence. Application of new packaging for ammunition enhance trouble free storage of ammunition, fire safety and greatly reduce the costs of storage and the stage of its operation. Created by domestic experts unified design packaging for packaging, transport and storage of ammunition is analyzed. Packaging design allows for packing ammunition ogival or any other complex shapes and various linear sizes, lower tare weight, increase its strength and stiffness, as well as improve the reliability of fixation ammunition. In addition, the developed design allows for improvement of operational properties and redistributes dynamic loads arising from ammunition packaged for container in transit, and to facilitate carrying and storage containers. The tests showed that the support and guide packed with ammunition securely held by frictional forces, thus the need for additional fastening parts and devices available. The proposed solution allows you to create a unified packaging in which the product can be packaged in various lengths and shapes, without making new packaging sizes and the using of additional parts, exercising only changeover parts that make up the body. Changing the configuration of the internal support elements allows the use of packagings, except for ammunition storage, and the national economy. New packaging differs from the traditional wooden containers increased performance characteristics, will not burn, rot, swell from moisture and has a long shelf life – up to 30 years. The packaging with collapsible design allows for the assembly of its arsenals and bases without the use of complex technological equipment.
