Child Life Specialists in a Dental Setting
Abstract
Background This article addresses the role of a Child Life Specialist (CLS), their presence in health care, and their role and impact in a dental setting.Public Health Issues The authors discuss the role of CLSs in addressing emotional and developmental needs of children and families, by addressing social determinants of health and providing patient-centered care.
