Abstract

In this article the author analyzes the context, originality and central theme of the presidential campaign in France in 2017- first and the second round. Also, there are elucidated the policy programs of the favorite candidates, promoted in second round - Marine Le Pen, National Front, and Emmanuel Macron, En Marche! Marine Le Pen is opposed to the European Union (EU) and the euro, single currency, while Emmanuel Macron is the most proEuropean candidate.
