The article focuses on the issue of turning stage space into theatre-like environment, which takes place during stage performances of the German band, Rammstein. The band’s stage performance uses techniques of artistic expression that can be found in theatre performances. Ranging from lighting, through costumes and decorations, to details, the band pays a lot of attention to the details involved in their stage performance. The members of the band also repeatedly use video clips, transferring their parts onto stage space. The unusual, festive character of Rammstein’s concerts creates particular spaces that can be called sacrum. In the article, an analysis of music performances is carried out, according to the theories of Johan Huizinga, Beata Hoffmann, Wojciech Siwak, as well as Theodor Adorno and Max Horkheimer.
