Immanent metaphysics: Schopenhauer as point of inflection
Abstract
This article aims that demonstrate how Schopenhauer's philosophy, formulated at the confluence of two decisive tendencies for all contemporary reflection, the rise of the natural sciences and the crisis of idealistic philosophy, presents aspects that are decisive for important themes of philosophy. As a critic of the reductionism of the naturalist perspective, but also of the abstract character of rationalistic philosophy, his consideration of these perspectives results in a metaphysical philosophy with a necessary immanent basis that exerts great impact on the presuppositions of modern philosophical thought.
