Preparation and Photocatalytic Dye Degradation Properties of W18O49/Bioi Heterojunction
Abstract
Using BiOI as the precursor, the W18O49 (2%)/BiOI material was prepared by chemical precipitation method. In order to study the photocatalytic performance of the material. The samples were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), ultraviolet visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV-Vis DRS) and fluorescence spectrophotometer (PL).The results showed that the introduction of W18O49 did not change the crystal structure of BiOI, and the degradation rate of pure BiOI was about 21%, and the degradation rate of the material with W18O49 reached about 98%.The degradation rate of the composite material is significantly higher than that of pure material. The band gap width of pure BiOI and pure W18O49 meterials are about 1.97eVand 3.06eV. They can form heterojunctions, accelerate the electron transfer rate, effectively reduce the recombination of electron and hole pairs, and improve the photocatalytic activity of the material.
