Death and dying belong to less frequent topics of research even in psychology. It is an area which is very closely connected with intense emotions and building an individual attitude towards one’s own end of existence together with coping with consequences of acceptance of such an unavoidable fact which is the whole-life process. Constructing the contents of the death concept changes during ontogenesis and at the same time is influenced by many (cultural, religious as well as those coming from personal experience) factors. The core of the pilot study is the contentual analysis of the death concept connotations in young adults together with an identification of key questions for further exploration.
