Objective: To describe the prevalence of bottle-feeding in children up to 2 years of age, living in the municipality of Anápolis, in the state of Goiás, and related factors. Methods: A cross-sectional study was carried out in pediatric clinics in the municipality of Anápolis, Goiás. A total of 541 pairs of mothers and children up to 2 years old took part in the study. A reminder nutritional survey was applied, as recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO), to investigate nutritional practices in developing countries. A level of significance of 5% and a confidence interval of 95% were employed for all the statistical analyses conducted, using the software application EPI-INFO, version 3.5.3, from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Results: 43.8% of the children were being bottle-fed. In a multivariate analysis, the factors associated with this practice were as follows: pacifier, baby’s illness during the first two months of life, pediatric monitoring in private clinics and born in a hospital not accredited in the Child-Friendly Hospital Initiative (IHAC)
