Water potentialities in the Karst Aquifer Salitre in the region of Irecê, Bahia
Abstract
Karstic aquifers present peculiar hydraulic properties, making it difficult to acquire hydraulic parameters, such as T - transmissivity, by analytical methods currently conceived. Thus, this work proposes to estimate T in the Aquifer of the Salitre Formation - ACS in the region of Irecê through data of Specific Capacity - Sc. For this, 213 pumping tests were analyzed, where Theis recovery methods and the kneeling evaluation were used to estimate T and Sc, respectively. It is possible to compare the two parameters, by the Linear Regression Model - LRM, and thus, determine the empirical function, , characteristic for ACS. After the empirical model was established, values of Sc extracted from 1,334 were used, and, therefore, the values of Temp as a function of Sc were calculated. The values of were spatialized resulting in five different domains of productivity, demonstrating that the ACS is dominant with moderately low potentials. This work presented an important tool in the design of T in the ACS and its spatial arrangement. Therefore, a valuable tool for well management entities and drillers in the region.
