This study aims at assessing the experiences of parents of children with autism spectrum disorder through diagnosis, treatment and education. The sample of the study consisted of (118) parents of children having this disorder. The researcher developed the study tools in order to achieve the objective of the study. The results of the study showed that the level of parental experience with diagnoses in Jordan had an average mean of (3.50) from the total score. The level of parental experience with treatment had an average of (2.84) from the total score while the level of parental experience with education had an average of (3.97) from the total score and with a high level. The results indicated also that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of (a = 0.05) in the parental experience in diagnosing their children with autism spectrum disorder in Jordan due to the educational level of the parents, the economic situation of the family and the gender of the parent. The results indicated that the variable economic situation was statistically significant in the field of education in terms of the dimension of teachers and the dimension of services and practice, but was in favor of low economic level, and was not significant for the dimension of collaboration between parents and the center. The researcher recommended that more research be undertaken to study the experiences of parents of children with autism diagnosis and education in depth, and to examine the challenges they face in searching for appropriate diagnosis and educational services and treatment needed by their children.
