The History of Jurisprudence in the Republic of Tatarstan in the Last Century

Abstract

The history of jurisprudence in Tatarstan is associated mainly with the Kazan University. In 1920–1952, the foundations of legal education and legal science are cre-ated in Tatarstan. New legal educational institutions appear and undergo reorganiza-tion or liquidation. The article examines the history of legal educational institutions of the republic, presents Kazan law schools in various branches of law, the most famous legal scholars of the republic who have made a significant contribution to the develop-ment of jurisprudence both in Tatarstan and in the Russian Federation. The author reveals the multifacted process of establishing legal science in the region in the scope of the social-political situation in the country.
