‘e-fatura’ - Estudo misto com participantes Seniores num projeto Municipal em Viseu
Abstract
The use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) is now democratized in the information society, however there are some age brackets that use less, such as senior citizens over the age of 65. Although the use of ICT among the senior population is rising, some distance still exists. The reality has shown that more and more services are using ICT to replace traditional services. This research aims to "understand the difficulties senior citizens experience when using the 'e-fatura' service". A mixed methodology was used with a convenience sample of 50 senior citizens living in nine parishes in the municipality of Viseu, in Portugal. Although three patterns of use have been identified according to the degree of independence with which they perform the task, it should be noted that there are usability problems related to the 'e-fatura' service which are linked to the lack of contrast between the background and the various elements, to the comprehension of languages (graphic and textual) and also to the size of the clickable areas.
