Declension of the Proto-Slavic i-Stem Noun*ľudьje in Sixteenth-Century Standard Slovenian

Abstract

This article examines declensions of reflexes of the Proto-Slavic masculine istem noun *ľȗdьe in sixteenth-century standard Slovenian. It begins by placing the issue in a broader Slavic context, continues by presenting material and its interpretation by individual author, and concludes with a general overview of declension patterns for the noun ljudje in sixteenth-century standard Slovenian.
