Motivation Orientations and it’s Relationship with the Pattern of Personality (Diastolic-Introversion) among Addicted University Students to Player Unknown Battle Grounds (PUBG) in Jordan

The study aimed to recognize motivation orientations and their relationship with the pattern of personality (Diastolic-Introversion) among university students addicted to Player Unknown Battle Grounds Game (PUBG) in Jordan. The sample consists of (127) university students selected from northern Jordan universities who were addicted to PUBG during 2018/2019 academic year. Motivation orientations and pattern of personality (Diastolic-Introversion) scales were used, after verifying their validity and reliability. The results showed that the mean of extrinsic motivation orientations among addicted university students to (PUBG) was high, while its low regarding to intrinsic one. The results also showed no significant differences in both motivation orientations and pattern of personality (Diastolic-Introversion) among student due to gender and collage. The results also showed that the diastolic pattern is the predominant pattern of personality among university students addicted to PUBG. Moreover, the results showed a positive relationship between motivation orientations and pattern of personality (Diastolic-Introversion). According to these findings, the researcher recommended the need to hold seminars and workshops to inform the students of the dangers of this game from the psychological and behavioral aspects.
