«Hiço unas rayas en la dicha piedra»: un ritual curativo andino y su contexto cultural (Yauyos, c. 1590-1621)

Abstract

This study offers an interpretation of a curative ritual performed by caused Andean priests in an early document of «extirpation of idolatry» trials in the Seventeenth Century archbishopric of Lima. The analysis is based in modern anthropological knowledge about Andean systems of classification and thought.
