This article aims to discuss the structural crisis of capital. On the basis of Marxist analysis we intend to demonstrate that the mode of production of capital already constitutes a system of structural crisis soon in the second half of the nineteenth century. With the formation of the imperialist phase that empowers mankind to a time of crises, wars and revolutions, begins a marked process of destruction of the productive forces, always in a higher amount than developed in its boom phase. The article also reflects on the role of the working class leadership, which, while surrendering to reformism and revisionism, abandoning the perspective of the socialist revolution, class struggle has not ceased to be the engine of capitalist society. Thus, the capitalist system from crisis to crisis builds a greater environmental degradation, in addition to using macroeconomic models to manage cyclical crises, throwing the price to the shoulders of the producing class.
