This article addresses the growing economic importance of wine tourism in Spain, particularly in Andalusia, a region in the South of this country, and highlights the difficulty posed by the language of wine. Professionals in the industry must have a comprehensive understanding of this rich terminology, replete with anthropological nuances, to accurately convey the cultural heritage as well as the scientific-technological information it entails. To meet this training need, this study conducts a generalized analysis of the official academic offerings in Spanish universities, with a specific focus on Andalusia. The findings reveal a significant gap in specialized courses on wine tourism and knowledge of the language of wine. Thus, there is an evident need to incorporate these non-existent contents into future study plans.
