SECOND BREATH OF VORKUTA BRANCH OF A MINING UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The article considers reorganization of Vorkuta subsidiary of the National mineral and resource university «Gorny» by accession to Ukhta State Technical University as an important event for economy and social sphere of Komi Republic and Russian North on the whole. The article analyzes the reasons of such reorganization and its effects on sociocultural life of a region.
