An international research on Croatian and Hungarian architectural relations started with the cooperation of the HMA MPDC and the Zagreb IPU. Eszter Baldavári and Boris Dundović are examining Ernő Foerk’s architecture, they gave a presentation about the results in Split. Foerk designed buildings in Croatia such as the Palace of the Post Office in Zagreb or the Tüköry Mansion in Daruvar. The 6000-item heritage of Foerk is preserved at the HMA in Budapest, which contributes to the specification of the present-day Balkan research. This paper presents the circumstances and results of the expeditions of Ernő Foerk architect – a member of the National Commission of Historic Monuments and professor of the Hungarian Royal Public Higher Architectural School – achieved in 1917 and 1918.
