Autentyczność

Abstract

The article presents a proposal for a dictionary entry “Authenticity”. The Author defines the term in the context of autobiographical practices by indicating three principal semantical areas it belongs to, including their evolution as well as the present status. He concludes by showing the multifaceted position of the notion on the examples taken from both literature and non-textual practices such as performance art.
