Journalism as a discursive genre — This article, of a theoretical nature, discusses the characteristics of journalism as a discursive genre. Journalism is addressed based on references of the analysis of the French discourse, on the communication contract proposed by Charaudeau, and on concepts of the theory of journalism. The conditions proposed by this contract are examined, and the delimitations of the journalistic genre pertinent to its formation systems are discussed.
