The ultimate goal of research and development educational the emergence of new models resulting from the improvement of the old model as an effort to improve education quality. The research and development or Research and Development (R & D) carried out refers to the development steps of Borg and Gall which are simplified only at the limits of expert validation testing and product testing in the form of reading learning models in Islamic schools. The three tracks are (1) preliminary study, (2) model development, and (3) model validation. The results of the design model for the development of reading tutoring based on Synthetic Analytical Structures (SAS) consist of three stages of activity, preliminary (delivery of competence, orientation, and motivation); core activities (recording the language of students, displaying images while telling stories, reading pictures, reading pictures with sentence cards, Structural processes (S), Analytic processes (A), and Synthetic processes (S)); closing activity (eveluation).
