On occasion of Ramziya Mukhamedova’s 95th anniversary

Abstract

The article is devoted to the 95th anniversary of the birth of Ramziya Ginayatovna Mukhamedova, one of the founders of the Tatar branch in the Russian ethnological science. The stages of Turkic-Tatar ethnology formation in the Republic of Tatarstan are linked to her name. She brought up a whole generation of professional researchers currently working in different fields of historical studies. R.G. Mukhamedova is the author of a number of fundamental academic research works on the ethno-cultural history of the Tatar people. The main subject of her scientific interest is traditional clothing. The materials of her books on the folk costume of the Volga-Ural Tatars are widely used in the modern culture of the ethnos.
