Lope de Vega y Ercilla: el caso de La Dragontea
Abstract
La Dragontea (1598) deserves a special place in the canon of those Spanish epics that represent the conflicts between the Araucanian rebellion in Chile and the exploits of English pirates on the American continent. The time has come to revisit texts like Lope's poem which have been undervalued by traditional literary criticism.
