INFLUENCE OF A LARGE-SCALE INTERNATIONAL SPORTS EVENT ON THE SOCIAL-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF A HOST REGION

Abstract

The article presents a brief summary of examples of social-economic consequences of hosting large-scale international competitions. By the example of Universiade-2013 in Kazan the author shows the influence of a large-scale international sports event on the social-economic development of a host region, basing on institutional approach. The fact of the investment attractivity growth is proved by example of Tatarstan Republic.
