Mechanism of Enriched Environment in Recovery of Functional Compensation after Cerebral Ischemia

Abstract

The focus of stroke-related research is turning from protecting and curing local ischemia to compensation and reconstruction of injured functional area. Hereby, we review the progress of stroke-related research about functional compensation and reconstruction, and introduce the mechanism of enriched environment in post-stroke functional recovery and its promising application in clinic.
