TRANSNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF BANKING SYSTEMS OF CEE COUNTRIES: EXPERIENCE FOR UKRAINE

The nature and peculiarities of the banking systems development of CEE countries under the influence of transnationalization processes are exposed in the article. The level of development of the countries economies of the region by comparing GDP and total TNB assets that are present in the financial market is determined. The market share of foreign capital in the banking systems of the CEE countries from the total assets is analyzed. The average annual growth rate of total assets in relation to the country's GDP and the average annual growth rate of the share of foreign assets from total banking assets are calculated. The geographic presence of leading TNBs in the financial market of CEE countries based on the number of countries in which they operate has been explored. The economic power of the leading TNBs in the CEE region due to the dynamics of their total assets is estimated. The problems of the world financial market development in the context of international financial integration and transnationalization are considered. The advantages and disadvantages of the banking activity transnationalization for the host countries are revealed.
