Educação Superior: o papel institucional e formativo do Técnico-Administrativo em Educação

Abstract

The article presents the legal and training path of Technical-Administrative positions in Education involved in public educational policies. This historical trajectory took place amidst measures resulting from the present political, economic and cultural scenarios, especially following the redemocratization of Brazil. This is a basic qualitative, exploratory and descriptive research, referenced in bibliographic and documentary analysis. The research revealed the neoliberal influence on higher education, determining flexible and fragmented work practices, according to market metrics. We also identified the struggle of social movements, especially the union mobilization in favor of the rights to effective work provided for in the category's Career Plan.
