The society of ministrantes matritense

Abstract

From the second half of the nineteenth century Spanish practicantes y ministrantes voluntarily began to band together to defend their interests. The city of Madrid belongs the glory of being first place in Spain where in 1860 a Society of Ministrantes was established which was essentially a Mutual Aid Society. Despite being set up and running in fact, this Society was not finally approved by the Public Authorities. However continues to hold meetings and actively work for the class. Next to the Court and by advertising inserted in “La Voz de los Ministrantes” was screened at the national level, subsequently organized Colleges and Associations of Practicantes in other Spanish cities, which is the beginning of class corporatism in our country.
