This study was carried on seed characteristics of 19 families belong to progeny test established in 2009 by secondary and endemic tree species Manna ash (Fraxinus ornus L. subsp. cilicica). Variation among families and within family, genetic and phenotipic relations among seed characteristics togetwer with heritability were estimated for seed length, seed width and per seed weight in the species. While large variation among families and within family were found, averages of seed length, seed width and per seed weight were 23,17 mm, 4,42 mm and 0,014 g, respectively. The results were also supported by significant (p<0,05) differences among families based on analysis of variance. Variation among families were higher than within family for seed length and per seed weight opposite to seed width. Heritabilities of seed length, seed width and per seed weight were estimated 0,789, 0,436 and 0,732, respectively. Some suggestions were give for genetic-breeding and other practices based on results of the study.
