The accuracy of radiation instrumentation monitoring data in nuclear power plants is related to the radiation safety of staff. By analyzing the typical factors affecting γ-perimeter dose equivalent rate monitoring in nuclear power plant workplaces, the validity and accuracy of the data can be achieved by controlling for the development of monitoring documents, training of monitoring personnel, calibration and maintenance of monitoring instruments, use of monitoring instruments, and processing of monitoring data. We have discussed the repeatability and relative inherent errors that affect the quality of monitoring, and recommended corresponding treatments. The method can provide reference for the quality control work of γ-peripheral dose equivalent rate monitoring in the workplace for nuclear power plant staff and radioactive related units.
