Following human capital and social capital, psychological capital is a concept that is developed and it attracts theoretical and empirical researchers’ attention. Positive psychological capital lies beyond human capital and social capital (Luthans et al., 2005; Luthans et al, 2004) and it is the new concept in Vietnam. Based on a review of pertinent literature and theory, this paper aims to examine psychological capital concepts, crucial components, background theory and consolidation of national and international related studies. In the meantime, the scales of previous studies have been synthesized and the qualitative research (based on experts’ opinions) has been implemented to form the measurement scales of psychological capital.
