Characteristics of saturated hydrocarbon biomarkers and the biogenetic composition of source rocks in the Qiongdongnan Basin
Abstract
Based on the analysis of saturated hydrocarbon chromatography and chromatography-mass spectrometry of source rocks,the characteristics of biomarkers from different formations source rocks in the Qiongdongnan Basin were studied,the characteristics of sedimentary environment,the biogenetic composition of the different source rocks were discussed.The results indicated:The sedimentary environment of Meishan and Sanya formation source rocks are weakly oxidizing to weakly reducing environment,and the organic matter types are mainly mixed organic matter;the sedimentary environment of Lingshui and Yacheng formation source rocks are more oxidized than the Meishan and Sanya formation source rocks,Organic matter types are mainly type Ⅲ.The proportion of terrestrial higher plants in Lingshui and Yacheng formation source rocks are much higher than Meishan and Sanya formation source rocks,the biogenetic composition of the source rocks are dominated by the terrestrial higher plants.Due to adjacency to the provenance area,the proportion of terrestrial higher plants of the coastal plain facies source rocks in Yacheng formation and the fan-delta facies source rocks in Lingshui formation are highest.The proportion of terrestrial higher plants of the bathyal facies source rocks in Meishan and Sanya formation are lower.
