Multi-User Mobile Communications Systems

Abstract

The theory of mobile communications aims at thestudy of point-to-point connections, perturbed by thermalnoise (Gaussian), unfavorable propagation conditions, as wellas channel variations. Given that a system (or a radioconnection) does not have exclusive ownership over theallocated frequency band, all other radio emitters, be theynearer or father away, will constantly produce interferences,which, in turn, will limit the performance of the system. Inthe following, we will analyze the basic elements of multi-usercommunication.
