"1968, IN THE TIES OF HISTORY AND MEMORY"

Abstract

In 2008 its celebrated the forty years of the political and cultural events that overran the occidental world in 1968. In Brazil and in many other countries of the world are realized seminars, events and many commemorative editions of “68”. These celebrations bring up the intrinsic relations between history, memory and identity. The year of 1968 became symbol of a generation and, by reason of this representation, its content is mystified by historiography, by media and by the new generations.
