Abstract This resource provides the materials needed to establish a case-based panel discussion for emergency medicine residents on pediatric sedation. The goal is to assist instructors in preparing a panel featuring providers with experience in pediatric sedation, ideally with varying backgrounds and work in different settings. These experts comment on the included cases and provide unique personal insights, as well as constraints encountered. The implementation of this resource has had a high impact on our residents. The panel discussion does not follow a traditional lecture format and keeps the learners engaged throughout. It is particularly useful in helping more senior residents understand how practice changes based on the system and environment one works in—for example, how pediatric sedation may differ in a rural single-coverage emergency department compared to a children's hospital.
