Public education over the years goes through different barriers, and it is up to the decent to adapt to different educational contexts, added to the different socioeconomic challenges of the students, allowing a disassembly in the geography classes. This article has as main objective identified the problems of learning in the discipline of geography aiming to understand as the main barriers faced by students with a hang on the analysis of the way students emerge a discipline of geography, anticipated perspective, as researchers seek to propose a solution of ideas. A methodology, such as Demo (2004), Freire (1996) and Trindade (2007) with applications of questionnaires to students, field observation and informal interviews. The results reveal that factors such as bulling, racism, and traditional methods, discourage students in geography classes. We consider that there is a need for reformulation in teaching conditions and a creation of better teaching methods that involve a motivation and provide a possibility for students to see a geography as a transforming discipline without regard to the construction and deconstruction of knowledge.
